About Me

In the fall of 2014, my life changed. Big time.

I left my executive job with an incredible nonprofit after 16 years; married an amazing man (and fellow triathlete); and began the immigration process for moving from Seattle, WA to Vancouver, BC.

Those milestones, along with a planned career break and on-going travel, turned my professional path towards freelance writing focused on healthy living, wellness, and endurance sports, particularly through endurance sports and travel.

Still unpacking my boxes, I explore life as a writer, triathlete, traveler, husband, Tennessee-born U.S. citizen, Canadian permanent resident, Vancouverite, and coffee lover.

It’s a messy mix. It’s me. My Wetsuit keeps everything together.

  1. Hi David,

First off, thanks for taking the time to write out your blog posts. It’s inspiring to see how you balance your life with the demands of training for triathlons.

Secondyl, I’m just beginning my own triathlon journey and to help myself and other novice triathletes get off the ground, I’ve built out a simple triathlon training tool called Triathlon Ready (http://www.triathlonready.com)

I’m looking for feedback from experienced athletes to help make this the best tool it can be. Is this something you’d be interested in?

Thanks for your time and happy new year!
